One of a kind invites, and a fabulous experience!
Had a fabulous experience with Palettera!
I am a control freak and I focus on the details of everything, so naturally this applied to my invitations. I always had in mind something that I wanted, but Deb went above and beyond what I could imagine when it came to design. Her vision is so much more vast than what I could've come up with, that my invitations ended up being much more a piece of a art that you'd want to keep than just a piece of paper that had my wedding details on it - a year and a half later, I still have friends that still comment on how lovely my invitation was. It was very easy to work with Deb. Even though she had an insanely busy schedule she always had time to listen to ideas or modifications, and we worked together to make an invitation that we were both incredibly happy with. My invitations were rich in design, colour, and materials, and there was nothing that I would change. Upon receiving the invitation for the first time, I remember my parents' friends going "WOW. What is this? Are you giving me a present?" They were talking about receiving lovely invitations in a box. I was an experiment - in her innovation and creativity, Deb thought it would be cool to forgo the envelope and use a box for the invites, and they were a huge hit! Something that I learned from this experience: If you're open to new ideas, you might realize that your initial idea of an invitation was "kind of average", and what you end up with from Palettera is more than fabulous. Trust Deb! She's good at what she does.

INSPIRATIONAL
I will never forget my experience with Palettera. I never knew how much work went into planning a wedding and the thought of invitiations was the last thing on my mind... When I sat down with Debra I remember saying "no offense but Stationary isn't my thing- I don't really APPRECIATE the art as much as other do...." she asked if she could inspire me.... I said Good Luck... a month later she showed me my invitations... I was inspired! She created the most beautiful, unique work of art- . Everyone single person that received an invitation called or wrote to tell me how beautiful they were. I even randomly walked into Holt Renfrew Bloor st. one day and saw my wedding invitation being passed around by a friend of a friend who was invited and wanted to show how beautiful the invitations were. After having seen her creativity I gave her carte blanche. I now give her a theme a date and location and let her creative genius do the rest.

Who was my favourite wedding vendor? Deb Lau at Paleterra!
Why?
From our initial meeting, Deb Lau just "got us"...she understood our personalities and style individually and as a couple and created beautiful, unique stationery to reflect our sense of elegance combined with our love for the outdoors. Her stationery set the tone from the beginning and punctuated the most important moments of our wedding with beauty and clarity.
Our guests continue to comment on the sleek design of our menu, place cards and table charts which were all original design and beautifully created with letterpress.
Without a doubt, my favourite element to our wedding was Paleterra and their creations!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! ABSOLUTELY !
PALETTERA is, no doubt, the most sought after stationary company in the wedding and event industry. Deb and her team create beautiful unique, and customized stationary for your special event(s)
My couples absolutely adore and love Deb. She is a consummate professional and has extremely high standard when it comes to design and quality.
You know the saying, "You get what you pay for". it's very true for the most part. With PALETTERA, you get MORE than what you pay for. For some of my couples, price may be a concern, as her work does cost more than what you can do with some Staples generic stationary, but everyone realizes that letterpress is an art. Once you touch and feel her designs, you will understand the love and passion that goes into all her creations.
On a personal note, as someone who sells luxury, I need to look luxury. Deb and her team at PALETTERA complete my look with high quality, sophisticated stationary to send to my clients.

Highly recommend!
I contacted Palettera back in 2010 after the original stationary company that made our wedding invitations were less than adequate. Knowing that I didn't trust them with the remainder of the stationary and papery we required for our wedding day, I began to look for a new vendor and found Palettera. I called and spoke with the owner Deb Lau and was immediately impressed! Not only was she able to completely replicate the ideas that we had, she worked with us long distance. (We live an hour and a half outside of Markham.) She sent us the most incredible sketches and provided additional ideas that really added to our day! Because of her incredible work, our wedding was published in the Wedluxe Magazine's 2010 Winter issue. 2 years later, we are STILL using them as our stationary vendor for Christmas parties, showers and even prints for our home. If you want creativity, enthusiasm and a company that takes pride in their work, then I would HIGHLY recommend hiring Palettera!!!

The most creative person we have ever met
Rachel and I used Deborah's services last year and couldn't be happier with the results. Coming from a male perspective, it is truly hard to impress me. She was so attentive to every detail that both of us expressed interest in. She was also so innovative in her approach and genuinely wanted to tell our story. We were so happy with our wedding invitations, that we hired her to do all of our placecards, menus, programs, table numbers, and thank you notes! Her work is truly exemplary and whenever I continue to see it in magazines, I am continually wowed! The quality of her material choice is beyond anything else we saw when evaluating our choices. Her designs are truly thoughtful. We love Palettera!!!

Outstanding work !!
We received endless compliments on all of our invitations and menus and placecards!! Deborah and her team did such a great job of designing our stationary! We are so glad we found Palettera! Our invitation s were so original and had lots of details that reflect us and our personalities. Thank you guys for making our wedding so special! Xoxo Michy

Not a good experience
She did not listen to what I wanted as outlined in the initial meeting. She did also talk bad about other clients.
She was late on several occasions on my deadlines. I told her I wanted my seating chart a week before the wedding, but she gave it to me 2 days before and I didn't have time to check the names and only checked for the style and I was ok with it. But my wedding planner noticed at the event prior to dinner, that she has missed 2 tables of names! If she gave me the seating chart a week before this would've been avoided.
I wasn't to happy with my experience

Lacking.
Deborah lacked creativity and evidence of unique design capabilities as suggested.
She did not follow through on promises and deliverables.
Poor attention to detail.
Talked negatively about other clients.
Not worth it.
Final result was beautiful but missed key objectives that were outlined in initial consultation. Pretty but not what was asked.
A very confusing experience because she seems lovely - perhaps, she gave this job to another member of her staff to do?
