matrixscan's Review on readersdigest.ca Posted on 04/26/2010Rating 5/5Gone Tomorrow
Lee Child's creation, Jack Reacher is without doubt the
ultimate hero. In my opinion no
other author comes even close to
matching the magnetism of this
two hundred and fifty pound super hero who marches through
the pages of Mr.Child's books like like an irresistable force.
I can hardly wait for the next
story.

matrixscan's Review on readersdigest.ca Posted on 04/26/2010Rating 4/5Lost & Found
The story provides deep emotional values dealing with
the trauma created in the life
of a woman who must survive the
untimely death of her dearly loved husband. The tale is enriched immeasurably by her adoption of a wonderful black
Labrador who seems able to sense
her every mood.
The heroine decides to take up
Archery as a hobby using a long
bow now listed as a primitive
weapon. I'm sure the author did
a lot of research on the subject
but I seriously doubt if she has
actually used a longbow herself.
When shooting with a longbow it
is necessary to encase the forearm of the extended arm in
a leather sleeve. Without this
sleeve the bow string would
slice a strip of flesh from the
archer's forearm when releasd.
At no time does the author mention this very necessary
item which is why I gave the story a 4 rating instead of 5.
